The Santa Maria is known all over the world as the flagship of Christopher Columbus on which he sailed from Palos in the southwest of Spain in 1492. After having visited the Canary Islands he crossed the Atlantic in 36 days and along with his crew of 40 men discovered America on October 12th, 1492. Requires 39 oarsmen. 22m length.

Turtle Ship

An ironclad warship shaped like a turtle invented by Admiral Yi, Sun-Shin in 1592 or so, during the reign of King Sonjo of the Choson Dynasty. The turtle ship was a newly created sea tank originating from spear ships and firearms and wooden board covered warships.
